Mattie

Meet Mattie! She’s six and is a yellow Labrador/Pointer mix who wiggles with her whole heart - we’re talkin’ full-body, and sometimes that’s paired with the most ridiculous smile. You know, the one that looks vicious in photos because it’s all toothy but really they’re just real freakin’ happy? Yeah. That one.

Mattie wants to cuddle with you on the couch. She’s crate trained (though a crate isn’t necessary for her), not destructive, housebroken (no accidents), and will let you know when she’s ready to go outside and come back in. She is literally obsessed with squirrels 🐿️ Squirrel problem? Mattie is your girl. She’s truly a wonderful dog. She can be shy of loud noises (vacuum, dropped items, etc), but simply trots away from them.

She knows her basic commands and has lived in a home for years, making the transition to a new home even easier.

She’s currently with a foster who has two dogs, one of which she’s totally fine with, and another who seems to get on her nerves — she’ll raise her hackles, stiffen up, and is ready to start some sh!t even though she’s so mild-mannered 99.9% of the time. But because of that one dog she hates, out of safety, we’ll call her dog-selective. She’d likely be okay in a home with other dogs (a meet and greet is suggested), but she’d truly be great as the only dog in the house.

She’s untested with cats, has been fine around well-behaved children (same 🙋‍♀️), is not a counter surfer, and is unbothered by thunderstorms. Could you be the one to save her from the dog she oh-so-randomly hates? 😆 Get your apps in to meet sweet Miss Mattiegirl
