Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in one of our dogs! If you see a dog on our site or social media pages that you would like to potentially adopt, please complete the adoption application and send in pictures of your home, yard, fence, anywhere the new dog will be spending time.
Once we have reviewed your application and completed a virtual home check, we will confirm your application approval or ask any supplemental questions that may arise.
We will then set an appointment time for you to have a meet & greet with the dog of interest to see if they are a good fit for you & your family.
Once you decide on adopting, your adoption contract will be e-mailed to you for your signature, along with all medical records and micro-chip transfer instructions. The adoption fee can be paid via this website and a link will be texted/e-mailed to you as well.
Adoption FAQs
What does the adoption fee cover?
It covers all medical/vetting expenses prior to adoption. Additionally all our dogs are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated and heart worm tested and treated (if tested positive) before going to a new home.
If you adopt a puppy, your fee will cover the 3 rounds puppy vaccinations typically given at 7, 10 and 13 weeks, as well as Rabies, micro-chip and spay/neuter at an age appropriate date.
How do I submit my adoption fee?
The adoption fee will need to be submitted through the ‘Adoption Fee Payment’ button under the Adoption Fees section. Please include the dog you are adopting under the notes section.
As a reminder, you as an individual will be able to deduct the adoption fee from your tax return as a charitable donation.
We truly appreciate all your support!
What should I expect after bringing my new dog home?
Depending on the dogs situation or personality, it might take them a few weeks to come out of their shell. Please give your dog time; time to adjust., time to learn, time to get comfortable. Remain patient as they are sometimes learning what it is like to be loved or to be an indoor dog.
Remember, we are always here to provide help and advice.
