We received a call from a local shelter that Nike, a staff favorite, suddenly was declining quickly with his health. He went from healthy and playing dress up on a day out- to losing 5 lbs in 2 days with labored breathing and not eating with a 105 temperature . This was something serious and he needed more care than the shelter could provide.
Nike spent several days in the hospital and was treated for a severe upper respiratory infection and monitored closely by vets. Once they felt it was safe, he was brought to our rescue center where he continued to recover. Nike is now feeling great and READY FOR ADOPTION!
Nike is a 4-year-old, 78 lb Airedale and Terrier mix with a big personality to match his size! Fun, feisty, and always ready for a good time, Nike loves to play and especially enjoys his toys. He’s a spirited and stubborn boy, which just adds to his charm and makes him perfect for someone who appreciates a dog with a bit of attitude.
