Found alone and scared in the middle of a busy road, Tucker has quickly shown his resilience and eagerness to find a forever home where he can feel safe and loved. He was seen being dumped at the nearby convenience store and a good samaritan picked him up and brought him in.

From Tucker’s foster mom:

I was driving to the lake and saw some cars ahead of me swerve to miss something in the road. When the car in front of me went around, I saw a puppy standing in the middle of the highway. I picked him up and took him to the gas station nearby to see if anyone knew who the dog belonged to. The kid working at the gas station told me that a man came in to the gas station with the dog and left without him earlier in the day.

I couldn’t stand leaving such a precious little puppy out in the heat by the highway so I scooped him up, took him to get vetted and then brought him home.

So far Tucker is my little shadow. He waits for me by the door when I’m gone and follows me around when I’m home. He’s sweet, hungry always, and seeking human attention.

The vet says he is 6 months old. He hasn’t had an accident in the house and he is learning to sleep in the crate at night. We will be working on putting some pounds on him!
