Chloe
Without a home since Sept. 2024
Chloe came in to Cane Rosso rescue with some major medical needs. The veterinarian think she was either hit by a car or attacked by coyotes, resulting in some severe injuries.
Chloe was unable to use her right front leg, her tail had hair and skin loss, resulting in exposed open wounds and bone exposure. She had many, many cuts and scrapes that needed some healing.
Her right front paw was also mangled and infected and needed immediate attention. Luckily, we were able to save her foot and not have to apmutated.
Chloe had surgery on her leg to pin her elbow back in place and is learning to use it again. We think she had been injured for some time and her body had become used to compensating for her injuries. Her ability to recover and overcome has amazed us, and, through it all, she is loving and gentle and only wants to feel safe and secure.
Chloe is in foster and is doing well. She is healing, learning to be a dog and that her days of being in pain and having to suffer are over.
Chloe lives with other dogs and cats and does very well. She is playful and funny, very loving and affectionate, loves to cuddle on the couch or bed and would do well in a variety of homes.
Chloe is a Terrier/Pointer mix who is 2.5 years old, 55 lbs., dog and cat friendly, loves toys and is available for adoption.
